PADI Deep Diver Course Fee $290 USD – All Inclusive
The PADI Deep Diver course teaches us diving deep is not necessarily a goal in itself, but many of the worlds premier sites are located well beyond an entry or advanced level divers abilities and rating. Locally diving Gordo Banks looking for schooling hammerhead sharks is a great example.
The PADI Deep course fee includes 3 dives, equipment rental (includes dive computer), instruction and certification fee.
Cabo Deep Diver Course
If you are already an Advanced Diver and enjoy the idea of exploring the walls of the Cabo San Lucas Marine Park, then you are ready to begin your Deep Diver course. Training for the PADI Deep Diver rating with the Barefoot Dive Pro Staff at Sunshine Dive Charter is a favorite among our divers.
Deep Diver certification is also a prerequisite for all DSAT TECREC training, an important step in learning the correct techniques to expand your depth limit safely. To ensure your safety during these dives we include dive computer use to keep track of nitrogen loading and available bottom time.
PADI Deep Diver Course Prerequisites
To enroll in the PADI Deep course you will need to be certified as an Advanced Diver, and at least 15 years of age. You will also need current diving experience to begin. We can help you with everything except how old you are 
All student divers enrolling in a PADI Deep Diver course are required to fill out the PADI Medical Statement. Please download and print out a copy. If you answer YES to any of the conditions you will need to see your doctor for clearance before we can begin your scuba training.
Deep Diver Course Duration
This course includes 3 additional dives beyond the Deep Adventure dive in your PADI Advanced course. We typically schedule these dives over 2 days, allowing you ample time to reduce nitrogen between the dives. For the best course, we suggest adding the PADI NITROX course to this program to eliminate some excess nitrogen loading.
Deep Diver Theory Module
While this is largely a practical course, there is a short and to the point manual and set of knowledge reviews that are required reading. Topics include; nitrogen narcosis, emergency decompression, decompression sickness, and safety when diving deep. This typically takes one evening of light reading to complete.
Deep Certification Dives
There are 3 additional dives beyond the one you completed during your PADI Advanced Course, with a maximum depth limit of 130 feet/40 meters. During the dives you will learn to monitor your; accelerated air consumption rate, advanced nitrogen narcosis, accelerated nitrogen loading and air consumption – all under the watchful eye of one of our experienced PADI Instructors.
We usually plan to visit the Cabo National Park dive sites during the PADI Deep Diver Course. These sites are well suited with steep walls and small ledges to stop and practice skills at depth. During the dives you will experience how depth and nitrogen narcosis can affect your mental and motor skills, something best experienced under the direction of one of the Barefoot Specialty Instructors. You will practice skills at depth, emergency decompression techniques and proper ascent/descent with a dive computer.
